Try Apple's Duplicates utility first
In supported iOS versions, the Photos app may show a Duplicates collection under Utilities when it identifies duplicate items. If you don't see it, there may be no eligible duplicates or the library may still be processing.
Similar photos require judgment
A burst can contain subtly different framing, expressions, or focus. Algorithms can help group comparable shots, but you should decide which images to keep.
Look for large but important originals
Live Photos, edited photos, and different resolutions can behave differently. Avoid deleting the highest-quality original without checking details and backup status.
