One-Time Purchase Photo Vault for iPhone: Lifetime Pro or Subscription?

If you want a private iPhone photo vault without recurring payments, a lifetime purchase can make sense. Look beyond the price: check the security model, how easy the app is to use, and whether you can restore your own files.

Can you buy a photo vault once?

Some iPhone photo vault apps offer an optional one-time Lifetime plan instead of only a monthly or annual subscription. Hide Photos: Secret Album is free to download and offers optional paid Pro; a Lifetime Pro option may be available, depending on the current store offer and app version. Free download does not mean free Lifetime Pro.

Keepsafe also documents a Lifetime plan; therefore a lifetime option is not exclusive to Hide Photos. See Keepsafe's official payment options.

Lifetime vs monthly vs annual

OptionPotential benefitImportant tradeoff
MonthlyShort-term use or testing Pro featuresRecurring renewal
AnnualRegular use at a potentially lower monthly equivalentAnnual renewal and future price changes
LifetimeOne-time payment for the specified non-expiring entitlementUpfront cost, compatibility and long-term app availability

A lifetime entitlement does not guarantee that every future feature is included, that a product can never be discontinued, or that every future iPhone will be supported. Read the terms for the offer actually shown in your store.

Features beyond the purchase model

Hide Photos uses local AES-GCM encryption, an app PIN, optional Face ID and user-controlled encrypted backup files. Its newer version adds up to three separate decoy vaults, locks for individual albums, custom album sorting and pin-to-top controls. The everyday UI is intended to remain straightforward while giving users more ways to organize and protect selected photos.

Version note: Up to three decoy vaults, separately protected albums, custom sorting, pinning and recent batch-import improvements are features of a newer app version. Check the installed App Store build and your plan to see which features are available to you.

Will bulk imports feel smoother?

Hide Photos has optimized importing and encrypting multiple photos and videos by processing encryption work concurrently while reducing unnecessary interface refreshes. The design aims to avoid blocking the main interface during larger batches. Actual import time depends on device performance, file sizes, storage and whether original media must first download from iCloud.

This is an implementation description, not a benchmark against all other vault apps. We cannot say competing apps have not optimized their imports or are always slower without repeatable side-by-side tests.

Does it feel simple to use?

Ease of use matters as much as a long feature checklist. A Korean iOS App Store review reported by the developer, version 1.6, rated Hide Photos five stars and said: “편하게 사용할수있어서 좋아요” (English translation: “I like it because it's easy to use.”). This is one user's feedback about an earlier version, not a statement about the new features or a claim that everyone has the same experience.

How much does Hide Photos Lifetime Pro cost?

We intentionally do not publish a fixed price in this long-lived guide. Promotions, regions and in-app purchase availability can change. For the current offer, open the App Store listing and review the Pro screen within Hide Photos.

Ongoing request-based offer: You can email the independent developer to ask for a 50% Pro promotional code. This is not an automatic App Store discount; availability and redemption eligibility vary. Mention your App Store country. Do not send private photos, backup files or PINs.

Before purchasing, check these details

  1. Is a lifetime purchase actually available for your country and current app version?
  2. Does your chosen plan include the decoy vaults and album features you want?
  3. Can you test importing multiple photos and videos on your own device?
  4. Have you successfully created and restored an encrypted backup?
  5. Are you comfortable storing your own backup and credentials safely?
